DailyRelease cadence
v1.47July 31, 2026Current
  • Skip Intro — a one-tap button appears at the start of episodes to jump past the intro
  • Dialogue-clarity audio EQ — boosts vocals and evens out volume spikes, with Off/Subtle/Medium/Strong levels (Settings → Playback)
  • Search filters — narrow Movies/Shows results by genre, year or rating, plus a voice-search mic button
  • Reduced memory use on low-RAM boxes to help prevent out-of-memory crashes during heavy browsing
v1.46July 30, 2026
  • Fixed a Stalker portal rejection (device/serial conflict) that could make Trinity hammer the server every ~12 seconds indefinitely instead of backing off
  • Fixed M3U playlists silently losing channels when a provider reuses the same channel ID across multiple entries (different quality or backup feeds, for example) — those now stay separate instead of collapsing into one
  • Added logging so a missing M3U program guide can be diagnosed from the connection log instead of guessing
v1.45July 30, 2026
  • Fixed a live channel occasionally getting stuck on the buffering spinner after switching, even though it was already playing fine
  • Fixed Multiview: unlocking a screen now properly lets you move to another one with the D-pad instead of staying stuck
  • AI Tools: added a dedicated "Dead channels" entry — scan a sample of channels and hide the ones that won't play
v1.44July 30, 2026
  • Fixed the live-channel preview getting stuck on top of the Manage Groups screen
  • Restored the game-controller icon for the Remote Control settings section
  • The guide's EPG now loads as soon as you highlight a group, not only after you select it
  • Renamed "website" to Trinity Cloud throughout the Send/Get playlist sync screens
  • Another pass at cast/crew search missing on some movies
v1.43July 30, 2026
  • Fixed the live TV guide freezing when scrolling to the bottom of the channel list or the group list
  • Fixed the currently-playing show's guide cell showing a washed-out color instead of standing out
  • Fixed the app hammering the server with repeated failed reconnect attempts instead of backing off when a portal temporarily blocks it
  • Favorites and All Channels can now be renamed, hidden, and reordered from Manage/Reorder Groups, just like any real group
  • Launched the Online Playlist Manager — add, edit, delete and reorder playlists, rename/hide/reorder groups, and search/hide/reorder channels, all from a browser at trinitytvplayer.com
  • Multiview redesigned: OK locks the cursor on a screen, arrows zap channels, Back releases the lock
v1.41July 29, 2026
  • Fixed a permanent buffering spinner that could get stuck over an already-playing stream
  • Removed a runaway, unbounded EPG query
v1.40July 29, 2026
  • Added Turkish, Italian, Vietnamese, Greek, Croatian, Serbian and Indonesian — 24 languages total
  • Weather, news, sports and world markets now follow your own city and region
v1.39July 29, 2026
  • Fixed a major EPG bug: the guide could appear nearly empty, or the preview panel could show a program from hours in the future instead of what's actually on now
  • Weather, news, sports and markets are no longer North-America-only — set your own city under Settings → General
  • The world markets ticker now cycles through global indices instead of just US/Canada
  • You can now hide the guide header entirely, so more channel groups fit on screen
  • Added Romanian
  • Fixed a rare startup crash
v1.38July 28, 2026
  • Fixed VOD titles that could get stuck retrying forever instead of failing gracefully
  • Xtream Codes titles now show cast, plot and other details (previously Stalker-only)
  • Fixed "Update all playlists" silently doing nothing
  • Fixed a startup slowdown caused by DNS lookups running on the main thread
  • Fixed the first-run language picker occasionally looping
  • Added a Back button to about 15 screens that were missing one

Earlier development

Trinity's current versioning and in-app updater started with v1.0 on July 26, 2026. Everything below shipped before that as manually-distributed builds — grouped here by milestone rather than individual point release.

Full multi-language rolloutJul 26–29

The language picker and a fully translated interface, starting with English, French, Spanish, Mandarin and Hindi, then expanded release by release — German, Albanian, Polish, Russian, Portuguese, Dutch, Bengali and more — on the way to today's 24 languages.

Shared live-video playerJul 26

One video player shared between the guide's preview pane and full-screen playback, so switching between them is a pure resize instead of a rebuild — no re-buffer, no black flash, no loading spinner for the same channel. The in-app update checker was also introduced here.

Universal search & VOD overhaulJul 16–26

Poster-rail search across live channels, movies and shows; local on-device actor/cast search; movie and show detail screens with real cast, plot and trailers.

Multiview, AI Tools & Playlist HealthJul 12

Split-screen live viewing (2 or 4 channels at once), on-device AI clean-up tools (duplicate detection, auto-favorites, EPG-gap fixing — all private, nothing leaves the device), and a playlist health score with a live dead-channel scan.

Multi-playlist merge & cloud backupJul 15–18

Combine multiple Stalker, Xtream and M3U lines into one merged guide. Back up your whole setup to the cloud and restore it on a new box with a short code. Screensaver added; Settings reorganized.

Live PVR & recordingJul 7–18

Record live TV to local storage, subtitle/closed-caption support, and catch-up ("watch from start") for channels that support it.

Original guide & playback engineJun 28–Jul 7

The TiviMate-style EPG guide, brushed-metal theming, and the core Stalker/Xtream/M3U playback engine everything above was built on.
