Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026

Trinity TV Player is a media player. We collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and we don't track what you watch.

The short version. Your playlist, your channels and your viewing history stay on your device. We never receive them, and we have no way to see what you watch. The only things that reach our servers are the ones you deliberately send: your account details, a crash report, or a cloud backup you choose to make.

What stays on your device

The following never leaves your device unless you explicitly upload a cloud backup:

What we store

Your account. If you create an account we store your email address, an optional display name, and your password as a one-way bcrypt hash (we never store, and cannot read, your actual password). We use this to sign you in and to unlock Trinity Enhanced on your devices.

Your activated devices. To enforce your device limit we store, per device, a device identifier and the device name you choose (for example "Living Room TV"). You can rename or remove your devices at any time from your account page.

Crash reports. If Trinity crashes, the app can send us the crash text (a technical stack trace) so we can fix the bug. It's sent to our support inbox and contains no playlist credentials.

Cloud backups (only if you use them). Trinity's "Back up to cloud" feature uploads a backup of your app configuration and gives you a short transfer code. This backup includes your playlist/portal details so your new device comes up configured. Treat the transfer code like a password. Backups are automatically deleted after 48 hours, and the code is the only way to retrieve one.

What we don't do

Email

We use your email address only for things you'd expect: a welcome message when you sign up, password resets you request, and important notices about your account or the service. We don't send marketing email you didn't ask for.

Payments

When paid plans are available, card payments are handled by our payment processor. Card details are entered directly with the processor and never touch our servers — we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.

Data retention & deleting your account

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Cloud backups are deleted automatically after 48 hours. To delete your account and everything associated with it, email support@trinitytvplayer.com from the address on the account and we'll remove it.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Contact support@trinitytvplayer.com and we'll respond as quickly as we can.

Children

Trinity is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders.
